What is Claude AI? A Malaysian guide

Claude is an AI assistant from Anthropic. You talk to it in plain language. Claude Malaysia is an independent Kuala Lumpur community that teaches people to use it.

The short version

Claude is an AI assistant made by Anthropic. You type in ordinary language — English or Malay — and it drafts, summarises, and helps you think through a task. It is software you talk to. It is not a person, and it is not a Malaysian company.

Claude Malaysia is a separate thing. It is an independent community, operated by CMO Consulting Sdn. Bhd., and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Anthropic. Kingsley Low founded the community in Kuala Lumpur in May 2026. It runs hands-on workshops for business owners. No coding is needed.

What you actually do with it

You describe the job the way you would brief a new hire. “Turn this WhatsApp enquiry into a quote.” “Write Monday’s ops report from these three numbers.” “Show me this business on one dashboard.” Claude replies with a draft. You check it, because the draft can be wrong, and you are still the one who sends it to a customer or a director.

In our workshops that is the whole method. Bring one painful, repetitive task. Leave with that task running. The 1-day programme builds a live dashboard. The 2-day programme builds a cashflow system. Neither one asks you to learn to code first.

What Claude is not

  • It does not guarantee sales, hours saved, or a claim from HRD Corp. Results depend on the task and on you checking the work.
  • It is not a substitute for your accountant, lawyer, or the person who knows the customer.
  • Using it in a Claude Malaysia workshop does not make you, or us, an Anthropic partner.

Where to learn it in Malaysia

If you want a room of Malaysian operators, start with the Claude AI course guide. It covers who the workshops are for and how an HRD Corp claim works for the 1-day and 2-day programmes. The community itself is free to join. Other trainers also teach Claude in Malaysia — compare them by whether you build something, not by the slogan.
